March 17, 2006 - 9:30-3:00

About

The BU Computer Science Annual Industrial Affiliates Program (IAP) Research Open House is an excellent opportunity to get a feel for the research profile of the Computer Science Department at Boston University.

In this event, CS graduate students present posters regarding their current research and results in the areas of networking, computer vision, database systems, operating systems, software systems, and theoretical computer science.

The open house enables faculty members, staff, and students at Boston University to share current research in computer science and information technology with industrial colleagues as well as with the larger BU community.

As the field of computer science continues to expand and as it becomes more central for as a catalyst for interdisciplinary research, a strong relationship between CS academic research and research in other disciplines as well as with industrial interests is vital to guiding and shaping the future of the field.
