Mission

The Boston University Center for Reliable Information Systems and Cyber Security (RISCS) is established to promote and coordinate research on reliable and secure computation and on information assurance education by providing increased opportunities for collaboration among researchers from cognate fields. The Center supports collaborative research of Boston University scientists working on topics in secure and reliable computation and on the theory and infrastructure for such computation. It developed multidisciplinary curricula in information assurance, strengthening the practice of and expanding the information assurance resources of Boston University. Partnerships are built with other colleges and outreach to the community undertaken to increase knowledge, awareness and education in cybersecurity. Our objective is to develop ideas and tools to protect critical computational infrastructure and produce a growing number of highly-educated research professionals with expertise in information reliability and security.
