CS 113 Course News - Fall 1999

4-29-99:

The data files for homework 7 have now been posted. That homework is due on Friday, May 7.

Don't forget that next week there will be no section.

There will be class as usual, taught by Rob Pitts.

4-25-99:

The last homework assignment has now been posted. However the data files are not up yet. They will be put up within the next day or so.

3-25-99:

The Assignment 4 due date has been extended 2 days to Thursday, April 1. (This is not an April Fool's joke.) You might want to try to get it in earlier as HW 5 will be posted and it's due date is not being put back any because of this.

2-15-99:

The midterm will be on Thursday March 4. It will be in class that day.

1-18-99:

Don't forget that discussion sections start this week.

We are still looking for a new room. There is a waiting list so it may be a while (or never).

1-3-99:

The first thing you need to do is to get your account. This can be done by running the "new" program on any of the Sun workstations in room B24 in the basement of 111 Cummington Street. Make sure you request an account on csa (not acs).

Once you have an account you need to add yourself to the class mailing list. You can do this by typing "csmail -a cs113".

The sections will start meeting during the second week of classes, beginning on Wednesday, January 20.

The midterm is probably on Tuesday, March 2.

The final is on Tuesday, May 18 from 2 to 4 in the usual classroom. It will be similar to the midterm and is cumulative.
