Remark #1: the extra credit will be incorporated in the final homework grade at the end of the semester. For now it's being withheld from the calculation so that the grade distribution is less spread out.

Remark #2: it's clear that some of you experienced difficulties while constructing proofs. For those of you I recommend to get an introductory number theory text: A Friendly Introduction to Number Theory by Joseph H. Silverman, Second Edition,Prentice-Hall Inc. This book is being used in MA 341 and is wonderful both as a learning aide and reference tool.
