   Without the notational conventions of pp 76-77, the two wff's in this exercise are ambiguous. In effect you are asked to parenthesize the two wff's in order to disambiguate them.

3. Exercise 2, p 94.
   For this exercise you may find it helpful to read the last example on p 86 and the first example on p 87.

4. Exercise 12, p 95.
   Do parts (a) and (b) only.

5. Exercise 18, p 96.
