GENERAL INFORMATION Registration: The Registration bureau at the Secretariat in ARMONIA HOTEL (ground floor) will open on Sunday June 28, 1998, from 19:00 to 20:00, and on Monday June 29, all day from 08.30 to 20.00, so that participants may complete the registration formalities and collect all their documents. Participants are kindly requested to avail themselves of this opportunity in order to avoid a last minute rush on Tuesday morning. Registration will start from June 28, 1998 (afternoon). Pre-symposium tutorials will take place on Monday, June 29. The Scientific sessions will be held between June 30 and July 2. Please fill the Accommodation Form and send it to the Symposium Secretariat with the check for the fee or copy of the bank draft before May 20, 1998. Each delegate must complete a separate form. Photocopies can also be used. Accommodation will not be considered completed until the Accommodation Form, duly filled and full payment of the accommodation fee are received by the Secretariat Office. When the accommodation procedure is completed, participants will receive a confirmation reply. The confirmation card should be kept and presented at the registration desk in order to receive the Symposium materials. TRAVEL INFORMATION Arrival in Athens: Athens International Airport has two terminals. Olympic Airways planes arrive at the Western Terminal (Hellinikon) while all other airlines arrive at the East Terminal. A taxi drive from the Airport to ARMONIA HOTEL (Vouliagmeni) area costs about Drh. 2.500. No Transfer is provided by the Organizing Committee. Passports and Visas: A valid passport is required for entry into Greece. Citizens of most countries need a visa to entry into Greece, except the countries of West Europe, USA and Canada. Personal Invitation: The organizers will be pleased to send a personal invitation to the Symposium participants upon request to the conference Vice Chair, Prof. Hussein Mouftah (mouftah@eleceng.ee.queensu.ca). The invitation is made only to help the participants raise travel funds or to obtain visa. The organizers are not committed to provide any financial support. Climate: The city offers an agreeable climate during the month of June and tourist period is very active. The average temperature is 25 degrees C. Insurance: The organizing committee declines any responsability for accidents or illness which should occur during the Symposium. It is recommended that participants be insured for these risks.
