The
CS department maintains printing resources throughout its
various locations for the use of its members. Additionally,
a printing quota is enforced to ensure proper access and
limit wasteful printing.
Printing from Unix
Users
logged into a Solaris or Linux operating system have two
options for printing files.
They
may print via the application (if the application provides
for it) that created it. This is usually through a print
menu option.
Printing
from machines running Windows NT is handled by the application
the user is working with. Printing from an NT machine is
still subject to print quotas.
