Linux operating systems
We
currently use and support BU Linux 5 and Scientific
Linux 6 on our Linux systems. BU Linux is a
re-packaged Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 / CentOS 5
distribution with some additions and customizations to
take advantage of BU resources. Scientific Linux 6 is
a newer distribution, similarly derived from RHEL 6.
While we will make an attempt to assist you with basic
problems on systems running other Linux distributions,
we do not provide any formal support for distros other
than these.
Along with the software packages included
and distributed with our supported Linux
distributions, we also support the following 3rd party
