RTSS'96 WIP will be devoted to the presentation of new and on-going projects in real-time systems and applications. The prime purpose of this session is to provide researchers an opportunity to discuss their evolving ideas and gather feedback thereon from the real-time community at large. The RTSS'96 WIP session will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 1996, and will consist of 10-minute presentations of all accepted submissions. Also, accepted submissions will be included in a special RTSS'96 WIP proceedings which will be distributed to all RTSS'96 conference participants, and will be available electronically from the IEEE-CS TC-RTS Home Page on the WWW. Submissions to RTSS'96 WIP should describe original on-going work and should be limited to 2,000 words. Submissions dealing with real-time issues in applications such as multimedia, networking, middleware services, and process control, as well as reports describing on-going system building efforts in such applications are strongly encouraged.
