NSF Travel Funds for PLDI '97 Conference
Tutorial attendees also are eligible to receive funding to attend the conference, June 16-18, 1997. Funding is expected from the NSF to supply travel grants of up to $1,000 per person. SIGPLAN will cover the registration fees for both the tutorials and the conference. Faculty members attending the tutorials and conference will be exposed to state-of-the-art research in programming languages, provided with materials and training that will help them improve their existing curricula and/or introduce new curricula, and encouraged to establish links with other participants.
To be eligible, the applicant must be a faculty member in good standing at a college with high female and/or minority enrollment, actively involved in undergraduate teaching of computer science, and without other sources of funding to attend the tutorials and/or conference.
