Prof. Martin completed his doctoral studies at BU, and after a faculty appointment at the University of Denver, he returned in 2001-2002 as a visiting research professor with the support of the Privacy Foundation and Boston University itself. In the academic year 2002-2003, he joined the University of Massachusetts at Lowell as an assistant professor.
