Peter Gacs

Professor Gacs obtained his Masters degree in mathematics at the Roland Eotvos University in Budapest, 1970, and his doctoral degree at the J. W. Goethe University, Frankfurt a. M., Germany in 1978.

His research interests include information theory, algorithmic information theory and the theory of reliable computation, in particular in a homogenous medium like a probabilistic cellular automaton. He is also interested in other theoretical connections of randomness and computation.
