  abstract	= {Computer networking research greatly benefits from the wealth of the techniques developed by the data visualization community. Nearly every article contains some type of bar chart, histogram, line graph, or scatter plot. There appears, however, to be some stagnation in the types of graphics to the point that they are some of the least memorable parts of papers. We argue that because humans are inherently vision-oriented creatures, understanding and memory retention of larger datasets would both improve with more innovative visualizations. Therefore, we make a call to the networking community to modernize its approach to producing visualizations. To that end, we describe a novel method to animate a network's delay space across time. We demonstrate this method by analyzing data collected from ESnet, and we compare the newer method to more traditional visualizations.}
