Figure 3: Speedup(Delay)
Same conditions as in Figure 1 except for delays: this shows the speedup gained from the remembering mechanism over the conventional TCP depending on a delay introduced in order to simulate a wider network. The bigger the delay, the wider the simulated network. The x-axis is the delay introduced when measuring the speedup. The y-axis is the actual speedup, computed as follows:

For a given amount of data to transmit: Speedup = (TimeConventional TCP/TimeRemembering TCP) - 1.

Each of the four curves shows the speedup gained in the transmission of a given amount of data: 10 MB, 20 MB, 30 MB and 40 MB.
