(1) Homework assignments: 50 percent.
(2) Six pop-quizzes: 10 percent.
(3) Mid-term exam: 20 percent.
(4) End-of-term exam: 20 percent.
You may discuss homework assignments with classmates, but you are the sole responsible for what you turn in. Collaboration in the form of discussion is allowed, but all forms of cheating (copying parts of a classmate's assignment, plagiarism from books or old posted solutions) are NOT allowed.
Homeworks are due at 5 pm on the day specified. Homeworks submitted between 5 pm and midnight the same day, will be assessed a 10 percent penalty. After midnight, homeworks will be assessed a 25 percent penalty. One the solutions have been posted (generally three days later) homeworks will no longer be accepted.
