You should do all the work on a single spreadsheet (this will make your life easier). I.e., the information for each class, the semester GPAs, the year GPAs, and the overall GPA should be on a single spreadsheet. > The assignment says to turn in the sheet of the classes, the formualas, > and the GPA's - I am assuming that the formulas are those which we use > to calculate the GPA's - Formulas are whenever you do a _calculation_ in the spreadsheet, so yes, the GPAs, but also the _grade points_ for individual classes. >... so should these just be put onto another paper since they will not > appear on the final speadsheet? No, there is a way to print out your spreadsheet with _values_ (i.e., the values that you type in plus the values computed by formulas) and a way to print the spreadsheet showing all the _formulas_. They tell you how to do it in the spreadsheet section of your _Approaching MacIntosh_ book. Don't forget that you have to produce a chart of semester GPAs for all semesters using Excel. Rob ======================================================================== Subject: Spreadsheet HW - Chart Someone asked... > Must the x and y axes be labelled? You should label the x and y axes. Give the chart a nice title too. If you can, label each bar with which semester it is. Rob ======================================================================== Subject: Printing the Spreadsheet > I printed out my spreadsheets so that they would fit on one page. > The regular spreadsheet came out OK, but the formulas didn't fit great, > so the characters are very small. > Any suggestions? Have you tried printing it in landscape mode (i.e., sideways), which can be selected from the Page Setup box under the File menu. Rob ======================================================================== Subject: Spreadsheets - more than one page Someone asked... > is it alright if our spreadsheets are more than a page or should > we fit everything on to just one page? It is fine if they are more than one page. Rob ======================================================================== Subject: Printing formulas Someone asked... > I am a little confused about printing out the formulas for hwb.
