I have taught more than 40 semester-long courses at Boston University (since September 2000), and 1 introductory operating systems course at Georgia Tech (in 1999). With the exception of CS697, all my other courses have been 4-credit offerings. These entail 3 hours of lecture time per week, for a total of approximately 14 weeks in a semester. For more practical courses such as CS410 and CS552, there is an additional lab requirement each week. All courses involve extensive project work, homeworks, and assignments. Most require at least one exam, while many require a midterm and final exam.
